LVN/RN Occupational Health Case Manager Job

LVN OR REGISTERED NURSE (OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH) needed for a CONTRACT/FULL TIME opportunity with Yoh's client located in New London, WI .

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

This Registered Professional Nursing position practices the art and science of occupational health nursing to meet the needs of the employee population by developing and maintaining the highest potential level of health and efficiency. This shall be accomplished through prompt care of the ill and injured, health and safety education, promotion and restoration of health and preventative measures.

- Provides emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within Hillshire Brands protocols/standing orders
- Provides emergency first aid and limited comfort measures for non-occupational injuries and illnesses
- Meets current state professional registered nurse licensing requirements and continuing education as required
- Maintains professional standards of recordkeeping and adheres to Hillshire Brands policies
- Under the direction of the supervising nurse, maintains the health services facility and supplies within professional and Hillshire Brands standards.
- Provides accurate and timely injury trend reporting and data
- Maintains accurate records related to OSHA, Worker's Compensation insurance, and corporate reporting.
- Maintains privacy and confidentiality of medical records.
- Promptly reports worker's compensation injuries/illness to the third party administrator
- Performs new hire and medical surveillance screening evaluations and testing
- As assigned, administers OSHA programs such as Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection and Blood Borne Pathogens
- Assists with accident review meetings
- Provides or facilitates mandatory health training that includes but is not limited to: CPR and First Aid.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Three (3) years occupational health, urgent care or ED experience
- Certified Case Manager (CCM) desirable
- Certification and proficiency in Basic Life Support and First Aid
- Ergonomic experience desirable
- Independent decision making, problem solving and consultation skills
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills; able to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees
- Proficiency in computer software use (ie, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to maintain productive working relationship with managers at plant and corporate levels.
