LTE Program Manager

The LTE Program Manager will be part of a team of Program Managers working to deploy LTE at ~20, 000 cell sites. This team will manage the work required to launch clusters of LTE sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conducts end to end project management of large or multiple large projects. Works as a team member or runs individual projects and is responsible for completing projects within allotted timeline and budget.
- Clarifies project scope and objectives, coordinates activities of a project team, and identifies resources and implementation strategy.
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis, including project interdependencies.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards, internal processes and reviews project deliverables.
- Provides team leadership driving the technical and analytical requirements from the project team.
- Recommends and takes action to drive the analysis and solutions of problems.
- Collaborates across multiple functions within the company to drive project results.
- Drives large complex projects to completion from conception to implementation deployment.
- Leads cross-functional teams to deliver the defined solutions within the allotted timeline and budget.
- Provides overall direction and technical or analytical guidance to project and program teams that typically span multiple organizations, markets and outside suppliers/vendors.
- Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
- Drives the team to resolve all issues and roadblocks within a timely fashion.
- Serves as a liaison between various teams/organization.
- Manages project budget, schedule, communication, deliverables, risks and progress reporting.
- Communicates with stakeholders, internal clients, external vendors and executive leadership as required.
- Identifies and reports on risks and jeopardies using project management tracking tools.
- Ensures that critical path dates are baselined and managed effectively.
- Ensures quality execution and deployment of programs and projects.
- Delivers Program Management Deliverables (ie, hand-off package) on time and thoroughly.

SKILLS

Required:

- LTE deployment experience; RAN deployment experience; knowledge of telecommunications network infrastructure, Project Management structure and life cycle, cellular network deployment and cellular network infrastructure including ability to assimilate complex technical interdependencies that may drive project requirements.
- Must have Telecommunications Network knowledge and Wireless/Cellular Network deployment experience.
- Must be an expert in Wireless Engineering Principles with strong project/program management experience.
- Understanding of Network Equipment/Architecture systems and operations needed.
- Must have a minimum 8 years' experience managing large complex Network Technical projects.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) needed.
- Must have strong relationship building and negotiation skills and the ability to recognize and solve problems quickly.
- Must be process oriented.
- Expertise in MS Office software suite and MS Project required.
- PMP certification is a plus.

Preferred: Bachelor of Business/Engineering/Math/Science degree or equivalent experience.
