LTE FW Engineer (f/m)
Harvey Nash are a global Professional Services provider in the areas of Technology and Engineering Recruitment and Outsourcing.

For our client, a global Telecommunications company focussing on Chipset R&D we are looking for an LTE FW Engineer on a freelance basis (f/m)
Project Start: February 2017
Project duration: 6 Months (with an additional 6 months if performance is good)
Location: Nurnberg

Description and Tasks:

LTE 4G L1 FW implementation, integration, verification & maintenance in scope of projects, as well as 4G FW support.

This includes, but is not limited to:
* LTE Layer 1 FW code implementation, test and maintenance
* Analyze tickets + traces and provide solutions
* Merge and propagate change sets across branches
* Create and extend documentation for development, issue analysis or customers
* Support and participate in technical customer presentations or road shows
* Support for internal and external customers via phone, mail or onsite
* Provide feedback to Development and System Engineering
* Develop and integrate new feature into the FW
* Develop and maintain host and unit tests

Your Skills:

* Experienced in Layer 1 LTE development
* Strong Debug skills - CMW/Lauterbach/JTAG
* Fluent in C/C++
* Network equipment knowledge very beneficial
* Previous usage of Lab equipment (spectrum analyzer / power meter/ signal generator, etc.)
* Experienced with large-scale bring-ups

Languages
- Written and spoken English know-how is demanded, all documentation will be in English
- German language is not needed
