- Experience in LTE related protocols is an asset
- LTE L2 (Modem) know how, particularly the scheduler.
- Very good knowledge of LTE baseband architecture (RLC/MAC, PDCP, CallP, PHY, etc.) with an in-depth understanding of scheduling (algorithms, architectures, design) including such features as Frequency Selective Scheduling (FSS), Frequency Diverse Scheduling (FDS), Semi-persistent scheduling (SPS), Carrier Aggregation (CA), Discontinuous Reception (DRX), LTE multicast (eMBMS), etc.
- Understand both Uplink and Downlink scheduling, timing relationships in baseband processing and their impact on KPIs, and simulation and its role in architecture validation.
- Supported feature development, feature testing, and debugging of field issues.
- On the Virtualization side, understand the NFV architecture, the effect of virtualization on task completion determination, and scaling and performance optimization approaches in virtualized applications (DPDK, SR-IOV, etc).
- At a programming level, must be fluent in c, C++, the GNU c compiler, Real Time Embedded software design and debugging, and Linux and socket programming.
- Fluent in English communication and writing.
- Must be a team player committed to working in a continuously improving and quality environment
- Must be willing to re-locate to location of assignment.
- Independent decision-making capability and proactive problem-solving skills
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience (wireless, LTE domain)
- Thorough understanding of the design and implementation of software, application integration, program testing and business analysis
