Looking for Cost Accountant in San Marcos, TX (Philips)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

- As the key connection between the finance and engineer departments, the candidate should be able to work with both functions to define and lead the end to end costing process, including new item setup and quarterly cost roll, to ensure the products/components are properly costed and correctly reflected in Philips systems.
- Be able to analyze the cost roll impact and improve the overhead/labor rate allocation methodology
- Support SAP implementation temporarily
- Support factory month end closing/forecasting/budgeting process, prepare financial reporting including budgeting, rolling forecast etc. with initial analysis
- Support business with various ad-hoc analysis in all aspects
- ICS champion

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5-8 years experience in manufacturing cost accounting field.
- Bachelor degree in finance and accounting, have understanding of factory accounting.
- Experience in product/component cost roll is a must.
- Be willing to work out of boundary and cross functions, and drive the improvement.
- Require strong analytical and communication skills.
- Be able to get into the details and understand the processes behind numbers.
- Advance use of Microsoft Excel, ability to work with pivot tables and make comparative analysis.
- SAP experience is a plus.
