Within the Sector Development & Engineering DE is responsible for the planning, development and delivery of integrated solutions that meet business requirements and the sector specifies trade-offs across sectors. The department DE EUV Sources and Conditioning supplies resources, means and methods, and technology to deliver the specification, design, integration and validation of (sub) systems and the development of new competencies for EUV Sources. The holder of this position is reporting to the DE EUV S&C Group leader for the EUV Source.

JOB MISSION

As a Design Engineer in the EUV Sources & Conditioning Development department you will be a key player in a very fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. Primarily you will be involved in the realization of one or more Laser systems, today being CO2 Laser systems. In this process you can be involved in conducting feasibility studies, followed by specification and design and ending with realization and integration. During all these intermediate steps you will be cooperating with other disciplines and suppliers where it is expected that you will attend several meetings to discuss design aspects, analyze system problems, and support and plan issue resolution with peers. You will be able to present your findings and your results to management. Finally you get the chance and you are encouraged to integrate with the dynamic and diverse community. And you will interact daily with 4,000 like-minded professionals. At the EUV Sources & Conditioning department, a little flexibility and commitment can go a long, long way.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will play a key role within a multidisciplinary team that delivers one or more Laser systems. Main Responsibilities. Define solution for challenges of the involved CO2 Laser system. Define Laser system requirements and translate this to Laser sub functions. Manage that supplier of Laser system understands and delivers the intended functionality. Define and execute functional test of the Laser system. Give inputs to interfacing projects (optical modules, system control). Lead the analysis of complex phenomena related to the involved Laser system.

EDUCATION

MSc or PhD Physics with focus on lasers and optics

EXPERIENCE

From 0 year - multi-year relevant experience in a multi-disciplined design task related to lasers and optical modules for Laser applications. Knowledge of robust design of Laser systems and the functional control of these systems is must

PERSONAL SKILLS

Strong self-propelling behavior. Good (English) communication skills in technical interactions. Good analytical skills and drive for quality. Used to take initiative to reach difficult goals. As for all functions the team player skills are essential. You are flexible. It is possible you could be called upon to go to the client site on short notice. You have no issues with putting in extra work to help team members.
