London Electrical Engineer £35,000

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (RENEWABLE ENERGY) -LONDON

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join one of the world's largest electricity generators. With a strategy to reduce emissions, investment in wind power is imperative in order for them to deliver, subsequently building their own wind farms onshore and offshore.

As the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering technical input on work packages for electrical/transmission from development and design through to commissioning.

This role will be based inLondonand the position will require travel to various site locations bothUKand internationally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Managing, co-ordinating and delivering tasks within work packages or electrical/transmission during the construction, commissioning and post commissioning phase.
- Delivering electrical/transmission work packages within accordance with project requirements and grid code.
- Input to the specification and delivery of onshore and offshore engineering contracts.
- Manage tender process and tender assessment for engineering studies and designs, and take forward recommendations for business approval.
- Delivering electrical/transmission work packages within project HSE, schedule and quality requirements.
- Preparing reports and final documentation for electrical work packages and project commissioning activity ready for operational phase.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCED

- Extensive experience in development, design or planning of electrical machines/systems within the offshore wind industry or very closely related industry
- Experience within a complex multi-disciplinary project environment
- Knowledge of the main electrical components in wind farms or other similar plant
- Ability to interpret technical detail
- High degree of self motivation with a flexible approach to work

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

- Graduate Electrical Engineer or other relevant discipline
