Job Description
The logistics department of Luton Supply Chain are looking for a motivated individual that is willing to learn all aspects of a busy logistics area such as Goods receiving, goods in, booking, basic level inspection, stores and despatch. The successful candidate ideally will have some previous experience in a similar role or a desire to learn and develop in this field.

Skills, qualifications & knowledge
Ideally you will already have at least 3 years experience working in logistics, with experience and knowledge in SAP or similar MRP System.
You will have experience of Goods receiving, certificate of conformity checking, basic level of inspection of goods. Defect reporting and be a capable user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Ideally you will have Manual Handling experience and a counter balance forklift license/experience. Good communication skills are essential as part of the role will be contacting national and international suppliers both by telephone and email to resolve paperwork issues.
A good understanding of Import and Export regulations with ITAR experience a bonus.

Key responsibility areas
Receiving around 250 deliveries a week and processing 500 picks through the Stores this is a busy department that is measured on Service Level Agreements so timely processing is a key factor. The successful candidate will be a good communicator with a very good computer literacy and be able to adapt to different logistics roles within the working day.
Accuracy is very important and an essential part of the role.
