Projektbeschreibung

This role has been released on a temporary basis initially for 3 months. You will be responsible for scheduling lorry deliveries, Small plant, serving customers, software stock control, stocktaking, supervising daily staff duties, Health & Safety, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) sheets, Yard husbandry and equipment calibration and checks.

Ideally you will have significant experience working in a storage/warehouse environment, have a NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Distribution, Warehousing Storage Operations and have a good knowledge of construction materials. Holding a licence for the operation of a forklift truck and other similar classified equipment would be advantageous as would a good knowledge of IT (Microsoft Applications) and the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.

Other duties of the role are as follows:

* Receiving and recording telephone, facsimile and e-mail orders for stores material.
* Selecting material for issue using the correct documentation, ensuring COSHH requirements are met.
* Operation of the telehoist forklift and associated handling aids ensuring they are maintained in a serviceable condition.
* Taking delivery of material from commercial suppliers ensuring that goods received are checked for accuracy in quality, quantity and specification.
* Issuing lifting equipment and cable locators on loan to staff ensuring equipment is certified and calibrated for use.
* Accounting for stock, recording issues, receipts and transfers to depots and staff on the stores computer system.
* Ensuring the internal store and external yard are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all times and reporting any problems to the Logistics Supervisor
* Ensuring stock levels are maintained by placing requisitions for material requiring restocking.
* To assist the Logistics Supervisor with planning the HIAB drivers daily work schedule including delivery of plant, materials and Ground Hog cabin moves.
* Ensuring that policy on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and small tools is adhered to and reporting any problems.
* Supervising the disposal of waste and recycled products in the depot.
* To be aware of Environmental issues affecting the stores and depot.
* To assist in the development of stores control systems.
* To deputise for the Logistics Supervisor during periods of absence.
