Logistics Manager ( ILS and Defence)

ILS/DEFENCE LOGISTICS MANAGER

MY CLIENT, A LEADING DEFENCE ORGANISATION BASED IN BOSCOMBE DOWN, SALISBURY IS URGENTLY SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED ILS/DEFENCE LOGISTICS MANAGER TO JOIN THEIR TEAM FOR A MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS. THIS IS A FULL TIME ROLE WORKING MONDAY- FRIDAY.

ILS/DEFENCE LOGISTICS MANAGER DUTIES:

Review and implementation of improved processes/tools used by the logistics team, particularly but not limited to:-

- tools and methods for forecasting the range and scale of spares/material required to support operational activities such as aircraft maintenance.
- the logistics strategy around stock management, safety levels, stock locations etc
- the QQ implementation of SAP as a stock management tool
- the interaction between the logistics team and the business; to ensure customer and stakeholders needs are understood and managed
- measurement and KPIs
- the processes and measurement of the purchasing team;
- Stores Management
- Stock Management

MUST HAVE:

- Stock Management
- Stores Management
- Change Management experience
- Ideally experience in a RAF/Army logistics- either through a applicable role in the forces or through an industry role interfacing into the forces environment
-Relevant experience in a commercial based logistics role is essential.
-Experience of managing within the confines of air worthieness and military environments, including but not limited to; CAMO, MAOS/DAOS, ISO90001
-An understanding of the strategic role and placement within an organisation
