Projektbeschreibung
Functions
*Manage and supervise the reception and distribution of materials and mail.
*Ensure that operations are carried out correctly, acting as the link between CERN's various customer service teams and external service providers: defining needs, advising and proposing appropriate transport and packaging methods, choosing service providers, etc.
*Act as a point of contact for technical questions relating to packaging, handling and stowage.
*As the person responsible for packaging for dispatch, you will ensure that the service offered by the providers meets the users' expectations (provision of necessary materials, tracking of services), and complies with all CERN rules and international rules in force.
*Participate in the creation, improvement and implementation of internal procedures and regularly provide statistics on the Service's activities.
*Monitor the administrative workload associated with the activities.
Qualification required
Higher(post-secondary) technical certificate/Diploma in the field of transport, logistics, or equivalent.
Please note that preference will be given to candidates with the above-mentioned level of qualifications:candidates with a higher level of education will not normally be considered for this vacancy.
Driving licence required :
ADR/IATA training and/or a fork-lift truck licence would be an advantage.
The experience required :
*Proven experience in industrial transport and international logistics.
*Experience of international transport regulations (ideally ADR and IATA).
The technical competencies required :
*Reception and distribution of goods, mail service.
*Import/export, including organisation of transport (dispatch).
*Transportation of hazardous goods.
*Logistics management.
*Use of office software packages.
*Knowledge of the following would be an advantage: warehousing, stores management.
