Logistics Analyst Job

LOGISTICS ANALYST needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located inJERSEY VILLAGE, TEXAS.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Ability to work Night shift from 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
- Logistics/Supply Chain experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Handle all incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy
- Utilize computer-based tools effectively; programs such as Bulk Distribution System (BDS), Drag and Drop, CADEC, SCADA, MapPoint, Telemetry, Microsoft Outlook etc Drive high accountability environment
- Continuously improve operational efficiencies, productivity, and teamwork between logistics analysts, drivers, and depot personnel
- Communicate with drivers and depot personnel to maintain an open flow of information Understand customer needs, zone wide, and how those needs are met
- Effectively communicate with day analysts regarding changes/information gathered during shift
- Ability to monitor, estimate, forecast customer usage rates to determine delivery requirements in an efficient manner
- Adapt delivery schedule(s) in the event of problems/changed delivery requirements
- Understand information such as manpower, product supply, equipment availability, etc as it applies to scheduling; use that information to make informed decisions regarding schedule changes
- Report customer delivery complaints/supply issues to management, sales representative, and/or any other applicable entity in a timely manner
- Ability to temporarily relocate in the event of a natural disaster; participate in disaster recovery plan as appropriate
- Attend/review all required safety training classes
- Complete all on-line training requirements
- Ensure all operations are performed with regard to safety/health of all personnel
- Monitor customer usage, alarms received, orders taken over a 12 hour period

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Obtained or pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, OR equivalent industry experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts (4 days on, 4 days off)
- Ability to work a shift ranging from 4pm-7am
- Promote safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize issues of importance
- Strong focus on attention to detail Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to use analytical thinking/techniques to solve problems
- Ability to apply knowledge of quality, continuous improvement in business and industry
- Understanding of DOT, FDA and other governmental regulatory requirements as they apply to company distribution
- Understanding of information such as manpower, product supply, equipment availability, etc. as it applies to scheduling
