Introduction:

SCM Service Parts is responsible for the planning and availability of service parts worldwide. In this role the trade-off between inventory levels and availability is key. The engineer will follow up on operational tasks, chase suppliers and other parties in case of escalations, report on supplier performance and support internal process improvements.

Position's main tasks:
- analyse and adjust inventory control parameter settings
- analyse obsolesence risk and execute actions to prevent this
- find (operational) solutions in case of shortages (in cooperation with internal departments as purchasing, service, R&D, manufacturing)
- participate in special interdisciplinary teams for small improvement or short-term problem solving projects
- develop improvements on supply chain performance
- report and steer availability on service parts, analyse root causes and submit actions.

Required area of education:
Master in supply chain management or equivalent
Field of experience: service parts logistics and inventory control

Professional skills:
- master degree in Logistics/supply chain management
- 3-5 years working experience
- appropriate knowledge of Dutch and English language (oral and written)
- knowledge of MS Office and SAP (preferable)
