Localization Engineer

Our client is the world's leading computer components manufacturer seeking a Localization Engineer with SharePoint experience, senior status preferred. In this position, you will be joining a team of Localization Engineers responsible for evaluating and testing international products in the making. This includes connected products, networking products, web applications and content, user documents, help systems, etc. This position spans a variety of tasks from coordinating localization engineering efforts, bug fixing, managing defect databases, setting up test environments, solution design, Scripting, consulting on proper internationalization practices, troubleshooting to analysis of results, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- CS degree or a technical degree in a related discipline desired
- Knowledge of web technologies, Windows applications, hardware, desktop publishing and software debugging
- Experience with localization/internationalization
- Expert skills and experience using SharePoint
- Experience with version control, bug tracking methodology, testing software applications desired
- Proficiency in setting up PC-based test environments
- Proficiency in installing and configuring various versions of localized operating systems
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Detail oriented
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills

NICE TO HAVE:

- Localization engineering and QA experience
- Advanced ability in one or more non-English languages
- Familiarity with retail video, audio, networking, Client Server com technologies and hardware an added advantage
- Proficiency in Perl,.NET,.WFP a plus
