LOCAL IT SUPPORT ANALYST/MANAGER - JOHANNESBURG
Our client is seeking a Local IT Support Analyst to work within their Johannesburg offices for an initial 3-6 month contract. The successful candidate will be the IT representative for the location and will work on both infrastructure and application issues, as well as assisting with project work as required. The post requires someone who is able to build strong personable relationships with the end-users at the location.
Although this is an initial contract position, there will likely be an option of a move to permanent position at a later date,
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional customer service when working on Infrastructure and Application Incidents, Request for Changes and Services which have been dispatched for Local IT support, whilst maintaining the right balance between customer service and operational excellence.
- Participate in and/or project manage global, regional or local pilot and roll-out projects as initiated by the global IT organization.
- Continuously advise on improvements and/or innovate with regards the IT services provided and how to increase the value provided to the business.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Strong English and local language skills
- At least three years experience in supporting a large scale Workstation, Tablet and Smartphone environment, with Wireless and LAN technology, preferably in a multi-skilled helpdesk environment.
- Understanding of IT support/service delivery processes (eg. ITIL)
- Knowledge in a variety of IT technologies including but not limited to: desktops/operating systems (XP, Win7, Win8), LAN, Remote VPN connectivity, MS Outlook, Office, server technology, business applications systems (SAP), iOS and Android mobile devices
