The Lending Operations team in Manchester with a current headcount of 36. The overall function of the department is to administer the Corporate Banking Division (CBD) Lending portfolios including both Syndicated and Bilateral lending facilities for both NatWest and The Royal Bank of Scotland.

Responsibilities will be reconciliation and project work within a specialist project team in Lending Operations. Other responsibilities within the department that may be required includes the processing and approving of the day to day work functions (including drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, fees and interest), ensuring funding is booked correctly by the Treasury department, indentifying and investigating exceptional cases, managing workflow and ensuring all deadlines are met, developing strong working relationships with all stakeholders and responding efficiently to all queries from internal and external stakeholders whilst maintaining and improving housekeeping practices where project work may be needed.

KEY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

- Investigate reconciliation breaks between Loans and Internal Swaps.
- Work on key deliverables for current project work being undertaken by the team.
- Process and approve the day to day functions of the department including deal administration, loan drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, fees and interest for both bi-lateral and syndicated facilities.
- Ensure loan portfolio is funded correctly by the Treasury department
- Monitor various systems to identify exceptional cases and perform investigation
- Manage production workflow & ensuring deadlines for processing transactions are adhered as per the service level agreements
- Respond quickly and efficiently to Front Office and Client queries and solving their problems in a professional, timely and efficient manner.
- Develop positive working relationships with the various internal clients (eg Middle Office, Front Office, Customer Service groups etc)
- Involvement with project initiatives to improve process & procedure documentation
- Ensure and maintain good housekeeping practices highlighting and reducing key risk items.

- Investment Banking Operations experience
- Knowledge or Experience in Bilateral and or Syndicate Libor Lending
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Swift Payment Knowledge
- Reconciliation experience
- Derivatives Knowledge
- Excel (Macro) experience
