LNOC BO Core Team Leader
Job location: Zurich, Switzerland
Job Title: NOC BO Core Team Leader
Department: NOC
Reporting to: NOC Manager
Main Responsibilities:
ensure achievement of the required SLA/performance levels for Core network, including - but not limited to - trouble ticket management, planned work, preventive maintenance, work orders, project support, and relevant KPIs;
manage the virtual BO Core team in both Switzerland and Romania, ensuring optimal utilization of GNOC resources;
people management of the BO Core team in Switzerland;
flag potential issues related to the Core network in time and provide associated risks and possible solutions to overcome them;
establish and maintain an excellent working environment in his/her virtual team to enable a high performance;
establish and maintain excellent working relations with his/her (internal) customers;
continuously improve team efficiency and effectiveness;
own and be responsible for Core network processes and all associated procedures and documentation and their availability to the team;
ensure punctual and correct time reporting from the team (including time spent working on customers' projects);
ensure that the team complies with Cyber Security and other relevant standards like ISO, EHS, etc.;
measure, analyze and improve team performance, lead PBC assessment (set objectives, measure achievements, award incentives);
promote team building and ensure technical training and general staff development;
enforce process compliance within the team and promote definition of work procedures;
provide, where necessary and possible, the required flexibility to meet customer commitments but flag when this consistently conflicts with existing SLAs;
ensure efficient 2nd line support of the Sunrise Core network platform in Switzerland.
Key Tasks:
monitor trouble and problem tickets for Core network;
track and manage the trouble and problem tickets in jeopardy;
verify and coordinate technical escalations;
review generated fault report;
oversee day-to-day configuration activities and manage records, track action items, and provide process-related reports;
plan and execute the verification and audit of configuration data;
support the Operation Acceptance process for Core network;
check the Operation Acceptance documents/data according to Operation Acceptance criteria/checklist;
track and manage progress of sites/elements handover;
review of open issues and arranging meetings with the Customer or other relevant MS departments;
escalate open issues for Operation Acceptance;
handle Preventive Maintenance request from other departments, analyze and categorize Preventive Maintenance requirement;
notify network surveillance engineers of any planned events within the allowed notice period;
analyze service impact of planned Preventive Maintenance;
review and approve Preventive Maintenance procedures and plan Preventive Maintenance within SLA timeline;
timely review and finalize the Preventive Maintenance report;
create
define a mitigation plan when risks are assigned during risk treatment planning;
implement the risk mitigation plans;
provide report on a regular basis to the NOC Manager about the virtual teams' performance, progress, issues, highlights and lowlights.
Requirements:
comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of Core Network architecture;
consolidated experience with the Huawei Core platforms and devices;
proven ability to participate in large scale projects, to implement project requirements and to provide project technical support;
people management skills;
capability to understand process frameworks and to support process implementation and optimization;
extensive practice in drawing up technical or operational specifications and to understand requirements from the customer or the field forces;
solid understanding of security rules and standards.
Skills
Education: Degree in Telecommunication or Computer Science
Experience: at least 5 years experience in Core Network operation and management
Language: Fluent English, German is considered a plus
Other: Experience with Operators' O&M Department or other Managed Services Organizations is a plus
