SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR/Linux/UNIX/SOLARIS/NATO/IMMEDIATE START/MONS

SKILLS REQUIRED:

System Administrator with "Linux/Solaris" specialisation
*Sun Solaris 10 administration (Intel version)
*Sun Solaris 11 administration (Intel version)
*Sun Solaris Security System
*Analyse the NATO security requirements & propose necessary deviations.
*Verify the systems setup and propose configuration changes to meet the security requirements.
*Design, develop troubleshoot and debug system and application configuration to meet as much possible security requirements without impacting the operation.
*Assist in the AIFS engineers in the porting of the application.
*Needs excellent knowledge in Shell Scripts for Solaris.
*C knowledge.

THE ROLE:
*Will work in support of the AIFS team in the system re-accreditation.
*Will be requested to review the configuration of the AIFS systems and Network and where possible adapt the system configuration to the latest requirements and support the system & security before implementation on all the AIFS Servers.
*Will be requested to assist in the configuration and porting of the software to Solaris 11.
*The contractor will be requested to help in the provision of the monitoring of the Solaris systems and the provision of the necessary data to conform to the KPI's requirements.
*The contractor shall report to the military messaging team:
oReview the AIFS security documentation and advise on what's feasible.
oVerify the operational systems setup & propose configuration changes to meet as much as possible the security requirements.
oAnalyse the NATO Security requirements and propose deviations.
oPerform testing on reference system and apply the tested changes to the running systems.
oPerform Solaris 11 installation on the reference system.
oAssist the AIFS engineers in porting the application to Solaris 11.
oPropose and perform any configuration modification to improve the system integration in the NS environment.
oWrite the necessary documentation to record the changes.
