Linux/Unix Operations Support

6 month plus contract for an Operations Release Engineer.

Candidate will be responsible for the installation and configuration of application products.

In addition, the Release Engineer should have Scripting skills in Windows and Linux systems.

Essential Functions:

Working knowledge of Unix/Linux required Working knowledge of Windows 2005/2008 required

General knowledge of MSQL 2008, MySQL and postgres databases

General knowledge to write and read Shell/Perl Scripting

Requires a self starter capable of taking initiative on all projects.

Ability to troubleshoot system using Linux/Windows OS and application Logs

Good technical writing skills to write reports as needed

Minimum Qualifications: Requires at least 2 years of experience in IT and/or Engineering related fields Ability to adapt and work in a fast pace environment.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of engineers to meet required goals. Must be team focused and excellent communicator

Must be willing to work with other team members and cross functional teams.

Be willing to work off-hours and weekends, as needed, and participate in an On-call rotation.

Must be willing to travel at few times a year

Local candidates preferred. Must be able to work w2 hourly only
