Linux Test Engineer (Telecoms - Sweden/China)

Our client is a world leader in the development of Network and Telecom Equipment. For one of their projects they are looking for a senior test engineer who has Robust test experience in Linux based system, especially in Real Time Telecom system, to take on the challenge to build the first class competence of robust of our Linux based system in industry.

You will work in an innovative team to perform improving our products availability.

This person will be responsible for the typical fault model analysis, fault injection test solution design, or fault injection test tool design for Linux based system. The work will be done in very close cooperation with product test and design team.

Qualifications and experience

We expect the candidate to have more than 5-10 years experiences on thermal design of high volume industrial products with high reliability requirements and challenging thermal conditions (car industry, marine applications, server industry, telecom, etc ) and that this have given the candidate a thorough and deep understanding of various cooling principles (direct air, HEX, etc) and a wide experience of CFD programs like: Ice Pack, Flotherm.

We also expect that a substantial part of this cooling experience has been devoted to liquid cooling applications and the key components of this principle. We also expect an expertise of conceptual design of equipment and comparison of various thermal solutions in both the cost and the functionality perspective. For this position we prefer experiences of the 'platform, concept & product portfolio' discussions that take place during the initial phases of a product life cycle.

The candidate can of course communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. We require Bachelor Degree, Masters in mechanical/or and electrical engineering or equivalent background

To be successful in this role the candidate should have more than 10 year experiences in CT or IT vendors. Also required is expertise of robust test in Linux based system, including Application Software or MBB solution, and should be familiar with fault injection test tools and typical faults in Linux based system or other complex software system.

Experience from developing related fault injection test tool is desired but not essential and a Bachelor Degree, Masters in University or equivalent background is required.

The candidate should have a strong feeling and interest for testing and to share experiences with others in the team and have a proven capability to pursue creative solutions. Prior experience from international and multicultural work is preferred. As we are a global company the candidate must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
Good social and networking skills to support teamwork in project groups as well as ability to work independently.
Good communication, documentation and presentation skills.
Well organized and structured.

Location
This is a six month assignment. Half of the time the work will be done in China. The other half will be at our R&D office in Sweden.
