Linux Systems Engineer

*This is a 6+ month straight contract role, no 3rd party contractors or C2C*

Prestigious Fortune 500 Company is currently seeking a Linux Systems Engineer. Candidate will provide operational support, project delivery and other system administration responsibilities as required by the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

4+ years Linux Administration experience

Understands overall departmental and business unit goals and how existing programs/products/processes are designed to support these goals.

Limited supervision. No instructions needed on routine work, and general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments.

Broader knowledge of Systems technologies and industry trends with subject matter specialization in one or more theory and principles within a professional discipline or advanced knowledge of specific practices.

Able to successfully contribute in cross-functional teams containing non-technical peers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guides the successful completion of major programs that impact cross-functional teams within their department.

Provides technical leadership for Systems on cross-functional incident resolution teams.

Provides technical leadership for Systems on cross-functional incident resolution teams.

Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives

Guides the successful completion of major programs that impact cross-functional teams within their department.
