Linux Systems Engineer

Linux Systems Engineer, London,6 month contract, 400 max per day

We are working with a well-known client within the digital media industry, based in London. A role has become available in their server build/projects team for an experienced Linux Systems Engineer with specific skills relating to Linux server build and deployment technologies.

Key requirements:

* Demonstrable experience of Red Hat and/or Suse Linux server builds and configuration
* Detailed knowledge of deployment technologies such as PXE, Kickstart, Autoyast, Cobbler, Puppet, Spacewalk, CVS, SVN
* Excellent knowledge of clustered file systems
* Expert scripting experience (perl, bash, csh, Python, Ruby)
* Strong networking and file sharing protocol knowledge
* Excellent SAN and virtualisation experience
* Expereince of LAMP architecture and JBoss
* Experience of digital media systems and applications beneficial (eg IPTV, VOD etc)
* Linux 4th line levelsupport experience
* Excellent communication skills
