Linux System Engineer
Our Client in the Telecom industry is currently looking for a Linux System Engineer to join their team in Mechelen
Job Responsibilities & Qualifications of the Linux System Engineer:
- Experience on Symantec NetBackup & Safe copy backup system for configuration & troubleshooting.
- Should be able to automate server provisioning, Kernel hardening.
- Should have worked on LAMP architecture (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) & NGINX.
- You should have knowledge of programming languages like Ruby, Python and should have experience on configuration management tool like Puppet.
- You should have experience on content management tool like Joomla & WordPress.
- Should be having hands-on experience on different Linux operating systems like Ubuntu, Debian, Red hat and Solaris
- Should have experience on MySQL replication master-slave, master-master replication, should troubleshoot issues in case of inconsistency.
- You should be able to work on Apache TOMCAT technology to create virtual host files and setup SSL certificate. Should have knowledge on cyber security. Track vulnerabilities, install and maintain security patches on the operational and development system, which includes but is not limited to, Red Hat Linux, Apache web services, Apache Tomcat, MySQL, and Red Hat KVM.
- Experience on Linux mailing functionality like Postfix.
- Certification in the relevant technology is a plus.
- Maintain regular file system and operations.
- Experience on Linux environment patching using apt-get.
- Relevant experience minimum 8 years.
- Should have knowledge of IP Table, Routing and other basic network troubleshooting on OS level.
