Linux System Administrator

On behalf of our clients, a large financial organisation, we are looking for a Linux System Administrator who will join a project in Amsterdam on a 6 month initial contract basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Work as an IT expert and evangelist while supporting customers in their technical evaluation process by delivering high quality presentations and workshops (to Developers, Enterprise Architects, IT Directors and CxOs)
-Knowledge and hands-on experience in Redhat 5 and 6, Puppet and Satellite
- Integration and evaluation of new big data and data science technologies
- Integration and maintenance of security controls and platform tooling
- Consultation to application groups on how best to utilise the platform and technologies

KEY SKILLS

- Very strong Linux knowledge
-Knowledge on Linux Clustering
- A strong sense of ownership and initiative
-Knowledge/experience of working in cross platforms server environments.
- Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking ability
-Previous working experience on Administration or implementation of RHEL/SUSE Linux
