AIX/Linux systems engineer with in-depth knowledge of administration, design, installation, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning and monitoring for application, security, and operating systems.

Required Skills:
IBM Power 7 series Servers with HMC and HP Intel based Servers

AIX 6 and 7, RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu, VMware

IBM power VIO

Linux including RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu

Fiber channel SAN

5 years' experience supporting AIX and Linux in an enterprise setting

Korn and Bash Scripting

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Documentation skills utilizing MS Word, Excel and Visio

Setting up effective monitoring and alerting

Patch Management for AIX/Linux

Analyze technical requirements for new or existing projects

Preferred Skills

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager

Infor ERP experience

Project management skills

10 Years Professional IT experience in large complex organization

Firewall and VPN

JOB SCOPE:

Proactively monitor and maintain a large server network ensuring high performance, security, and quick issue resolution. Participate in Design, expansion, and security meetings with vendors, and site administration. Have the ability to work after hours and weekend work as required.
