Linux Redhat Certified Engineers - Amsterdam, the Netherlands

For one of our clients we are looking for Linux REDHAT CERTIFIED ENGINEERS

Location: Amsterdam
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: December 31st, 2015 with a possibility of extension

Typical examples of the deliverables are building proof-of-concept solutions with server system technology and architecting server solutions to address client requirements.

Please find a description of the role and responsibilities involved below:

PROJECT SUPPORT AND DELIVERY ON LINUX, INCLUDING:

-Installing Linux based packages
-Creating start/stop scripts
-Configuring the Linux setup
-Supporting the application installations
-Creating Linux software builds to easy install systems

MUST HAVES SKILLS:

-Extensive hands-on knowledge and experience (minimum 3 years) of Redhat 5 and 6
-Must have Linux Redhat Engineer Certification (LPIC-2 and higher level is a pre)
-Satelite server
-LVM
-Networking (CCNA and higher level)
-Security

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (DESIRED):

-Hadoop and Clustering
-RHEL 5.x - 6.x experience 3+ years
-Shell, PERL Scripting
-SELinux
-ITIL

ADDITIONAL SKILLS: (NICE TO HAVE)
AIX, VMWare, RES Automation manager, RHEV, RHCS, J2EE hosting, Hadoop
IBM Server hardware, Tivoli, IBM Lotus Notes

Additional knowledge which is nice to have is SAN Volume Controller (SVC), IBM Storage Manager, SAMBA v3, Active Directory integration, MS Project, Visio, BEA Weblogic v8, MySQL, Apache, Perl, PHP and other related programs

IBM Foundational Competencies:
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative, results oriented, with analytical skills and problem solving Good written and verbal communication skills and has to communicate effectively in technical terms. Willing to comply to the standards and processes.

WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Minimum 5 years experience as a Linux engineer
Experience working in a large national/international company (enterprise environment, bank)
Experience with Linux projects from design to implementation
Experience with Linux security, networking and satelite server
