Project description:
The department R&D IT Solutions is End-to-End responsible for all Applications, Infrastructure, Services and Innovation needed for the R&D design process (hardware and software design) and the product creation process. The R&D IT Solutions manager heads this organization and reports to the CIO.

The R&D IT solutions comprises of 3 departments being:

- Product Creation Applications: responsible for the innovation, development and support of application supporting product creation process
- Design Environments Services: responsible for the Innovation, development and support of the R&D Development environment for both hardware and software design
- Local R&D site team: is responsible for all IT services and demand on the premises where the engineers are located. Responsibility also includes demand/delivery of generic IT services provided to sites. This is specifically the responsibility of the local Service Manager.

For the department Product Creation Application in our R&D-IT Domain we are looking for a Linux (Red Hat) expert with Ansible configuration management experience.

The Job:
The client has just had a merge and as part of the R&D Design infrastructure program we need to integrate both the design environments. All changes required to integrate the design environment need to be automated as this need to be deployed to different production environments across sites and security domains.

TASKS:

- Automate the required changes to our existing infrastructures.
- Test the solution on the dev environment.
- Prepare the User Acceptance Test environment
- Document the solution
- Create a detailed run book for further deployment to production environments.
- Hand-over of the solution to the deployment team and support organization.

SKILLS:

- Bachelor/Master Level
- Able to automate changes to our Linux (Red Hat) based platform via Ansible
- Able to perform tests in our development environment
- Able to install the implemented changes via Ansible on our Acceptance environment
- Able to hand-over the solution to the deployment team and support organization
- Sector know-how: IT/R Energetic, eager, Quality driven, customer service oriented; finisher, Independent, pro-active and takes up responsibility.
