Global Financial Services Firm is seeking a Linux Middleware Systems Administrator for a contract engagement in their Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX office. In this position you will develop and maintain a Linux-based application environment and provide support for the extent of the project. The consultant will install and configure off-the-shelf and developed Open Source applications in a Linux (RedHat) environment. Deploy application upgrades and fixes, and participate in re-creation, analysis and troubleshooting of incidents. Complete routine audits of systems for the purpose of preventative maintenance of applications and report on their status. Deliver technical support for statistical analysis and statistical graphics for Progressive Review work product. Provide application support for Middleware applications (NLTK, R, Weka) in Linguistics software development. In addition, support Q&RM process, up to and including documentation. The right candidate will have 7+ years of experience with Linux, Java, Python, and installing/configuring Open Source products, as well as 4+ years with Perl. Knowledge of Statistic Analysis, Mathematics Development tools, Networking/LAN/WAN/DMZ concepts, and troubleshooting tools and techniques related to network and systems is also required.
