Linux/Middleware Administrator (Contract)

For an international pharma company in Basel we are seeking a highly motivated professional to take up the following challenge:

LINUX/MIDDLEWARE ADMINISTRATOR (CONTRACT)

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Work with the IT Infrastructure and other IT team members to refine and clarify requirements to automate Middleware management (delivery, configuration, monitoring) and deployment process
- Use appropriate technologies such as Chef (configuration management), Hudson, Jenkins, Cloud etc.
- Constantly evaluate and recommend improvement to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery processes
- Design, document and help optimize the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery strategies in order to reduce costs while ensuring quality.
- Effectively develop and communicate technical solutions to unique client issues

REQUIREMENTS

- 5+ years' equivalent experience in a technical analytical position responsible for managing large server environments
- In-depth knowledge of continuous integration and release process management
- Outstanding knowledge in Linux/Middleware Administration including application and network troubleshooting
- In-depth knowledge in Java/J2EE Servers, Oracle, Hudson/Jenkins
- Solid skills of Bash and Perl Shell Scripting as well as Python and Ruby
- Experience with managing Open Source software, OpenStack experience is a plus
- Chef (configuration management) experience is a MUST

CONTRACT DETAILS

- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 12 months
- Location: Basel
- Hourly rate: CHF 100 - 110 all inclusive
