Linux Kernel Developer

DESCRIPTION:

- Team builds equipment for transmission of cable. Make transmitters and receivers and amplifiers.
- Looking for someone to lead development for touch screen display.
- Create single board computer with touch screen display to provide interface.
- Most of the work is board bring up, integrate in web browser and support, not much application level work.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Candidate should be familiar with Linux Kernel Flash driver implementation preferably having experience modifying a Kernel to support new NAND Flash devices.
- BS Computer Science or equivalent required. Advanced degree (MSEE, MSCS) preferred.
- 10 years in Embedded or network management products in the Telecommunications industry preferred
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of communication systems software in a Real Time Embedded development environment OR in application development.
- Extensive experience with industry standard protocols and SW technologies in the telecommunications field either in systems development or in network management/application development.
- Experience developing and testing Linux device drivers, specifically Flash memory devices.
- Hands-on experience with industry standard debug environments including emulators, logic analyzers with an understanding of assembly level code.
- Hands-on experience with industry standard Real Time operating systems, compilers, debuggers, source-code control systems and bug trackers.
- Ability to interface with other functions (hardware, test, etc) during the development process required.
- Candidate must have effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have skills: Hardware design experience (Electrical Engineering background)

- Looking for someone who does not need a lot of direction, close to 10 years of experience.
