My client manufactures complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. A challenging IT position in one of the most technical developed companies in the world. IT operates in a high demanding, fast moving, dynamic and professional environment.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Linux Engineer position is participating in implementation and configuration of the Linux VDI workplace for the SDEV department. The main task is to take care of installing, configuring and tuning the new desktop.              

Specials:
- Bachelor level or equivalent, combination of education and experience
- Red Hat RHCSA or RHCE is a pre

Experience:
- At least 4 years of experience as a Linux specialist on senior level.
- Industry experience with server & desktop virtualization

A background in several of the following at a system engineer level:
- Virtualization techniques (VDI and Hypervisors)
- Server (Linux and Unix)
- Desktop (Linux OS, Windows OS, Software and Tool deployment)
- Knowledge of Red Hat Network Satellite
- Knowledge of Exceed on Demand as a VDI broker
- Base knowledge of storage and networking
- Workplace security
- Unix and/or Linux system administration, Scripting (Perl, Python, Shell).
- Experiences within a software development environment

Personal Skills:
- Good communication skills, good knowledge of the English language.
