SKILLS:

The Software Development section within the Systems division, Applications, Trainers and Simulators (SATS short/SO) at JIVC/C41 & L developed for maritime operations within Defence Command and Control (C2) systems receivers for the operational command.
Within SATS functionality specified is realized in multifunctional teams, called Feature Teams, consisting of among others. Team Leader, Enterprise Architect, S/W Architect, Software Engineer, IT Specialist, Testers, Trainer lmplementatieondersteuning etc.
In this context, there within several Feature Teams jobs Lot engineers who design with a high degree of autonomy (functional and technical) and implementation activities to perform and also be able to contribute to testing activities. The focus areas are broad, and include both design/construction of elements of the end-user functionality, expansion and maintenance of existing (electronic data interchange) applications or interface with sensor systems.

ACTIVITIES:

Design/implement new functionalities.
Documentation of new/modified software.
Thinking/discuss functional and technical aspects.
Contribute to users by keeping system evaluations, both in office and on the ships.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge and experience
Knowledge of and experience with Red HatlCentos version 6 and 7. (1)
able to independently content to the design and construction of complex engineering software (1)
Knowledge of and experience with Red Hat and CentOS 6 and 7
Knowledge of Linux kickstart (1)
Knowledge of and experience with VMWare. (1)
Knowledge of and experience with storage area networks. (1)
Knowledge of and experience with databases (MS SQL and PostgreSoL). (1)
To cope with guidelines and process used. (1)
Knowledge of open source tooling (Nexus, Maven, NetBeans). (2)
Knowledge of LDAP and SSD (integrating Linux and Windows). (2)
Knowledge of and experience with GIT. (1)
Knowledge and experience with Object Oriented methods and techniques. (1)
Knowledge and experience with network infrastructures. (2)
Knowledge of and experience with distributed data processing. (2)
Knowledge of XML is a plus. (2)
Knowledge of and experience with Scrum/Agile method. (2)
Knowledge of and experience with C ++. (3)
Affinity with Defence in general. (3)

Education
Minimum undergraduate level (informatics)
Background in the technical automation is an advantage.

Social skills
Can work in a team. (1)
Willing to work in Den Helder. (1)

Dutch and English fluent in speech and writing. (1)
