Linux Engineer (Automation/Continuous Delivery)

LINUX ENGINEER (AUTOMATION/CONTINUOUS DELIVERY)

For one of Europe's largest Banking clients, we are currently seeking an Linux Ops Engineer with Automation expertise along with operating database management systems (such as Oracle, MySQL).

This will be a stable 1 year contract in Amsterdam with potential option to extend.

THE IDEAL LINUX OPS ENGINEER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

- have a Bsc+ degree in Computer Science or comparable
- have experience in Dockers, Containers, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, Sonar, GitLab runners, Shell Scripting.
- have experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- have experience in implementing monitoring procedures and systems
- have a proven strong knowledge of Linux with the ability to install, configure, analyze, maintain, optimize, troubleshoot, and manage the security of operating systems.
- have experience working with network architecture including VPNs, load balancers, Firewalls.
- bring up to date knowledge of HTTP, HTML, JSON and Javascript.
- have experience in operating database management systems (such as Oracle, MySQL)
- bring a working attitude to work in a Professional Engineering culture and you like to participate in communities
- rather automate than performing manual tasks (such as automation of deployments, tests, builds, packaging and shipping.)
- ideally have experience in working with IBM Bluemix.
- are have well developed social, teamwork and communication skills
- bring an attitude to not compromise on quality and reliability
- are sensitive for the fact that a large organization has relatively quite a number of procedures to comply with and willing to accept that as part of the job
