Linux engineer required for 6 months contract.
The Linux/DevOps Engineer is required to support both Production and Development infrastructures. In addition, the role holder performs the role of technical expert for the website IT infrastructure.
Duties
- UNIX/Linux system administration
- Maintain 24X7 - mission critical uptime.
- Scripting - Shell, Perl, Ruby, etc.
- Automation : Puppet (or similar)
- Scaling - load balancing
- VMWare - ESXi 5.x .
- Design, configuration, support and maintenance of environment infrastructure
- Research, product comparison and recommendation of new hardware and software in line with company technology plans
Your experience/background:
- Linux sys admin (Redhat)/DevOPS background and have significant hands-on experience in
o the following: - Ideally you will come from a Web/Online/Internet based background
- Any experience of continuous integration/deployment environments and tools (eg Puppet,Capistrano, Ruby)
- Technically Leading projects or working closely with different teams in AGILE Framework.
- 5+ years relevant experience.
