ROLE SUMMARY

The successful candidate will have exceptional technical and problem solving skills, with a positive, results-driven attitude. They will have a solid grounding in the fundamentals of computer science, and the aptitude and willingness to learn quickly and work with a wide range of technologies. Working from inception of a project through to BAU support of our products, requiring skills in Business Analysis, Development, Linux Engineering, Networking, Security, Automated Testing and Incident Management.

They will also have exceptional stakeholder management skills and consult with a wide range of senior stakeholders inside and outside the company, in particular handling technical relationships with our partners' technical and development teams.

HIGHLY SOUGHT EXPERIENCE

- Driving automation - unit, integration and functional testing and release management
- Skilled in Automation techniques in Development and/or Platforms
- Unit testing, web service integration testing, functional testing automation
- Continuous integration techniques and tools like Jenkins, Go, Team City or equivalent o CHEF, Ancible, Ruby, Python, Yum (or equivalent) deployment tooling

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assure and oversee partner delivery to ensure their work adheres to the agreed scope and agreed technical approach and company standards
- Perform requirements, (application and platform) architecture and code reviews
- Work with the SRE teams to constantly improve application life cycle management for applications and platforms
- Support Operational staff during incidents to resolve issues with out of hours support
- Consult with business stakeholders inside and outside the business on requirements and design, technology, architecture, testing and security
- Provide technical expertise and assistance to partners on our products, systems and APIs
- Work with the security team to mitigate vulnerabilities in partner software
- Ensure that partners maintain thorough testing strategies
- Build an understanding of the entire Technology stack

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Strong grasp of fundamental computer science principles
- Understanding of the end-to-end software life cycle, ideally within Agile environments
- One of:
- Commercial Java, C++, C# or other relevant development experience o Linux engineering/ DevOps experience
- Understanding of modern application/platform architecture, technologies and techniques
- Experience of networking terminology and Linux engineering principles
- Experience using source code version control (eg Subversion, GIT, Perforce)
- Experience using requirements/defect tracking systems (eg Rally, JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Exceptional stakeholder management, with written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks spanning several projects concurrently
- Ability to work in a rapid development/support environment with flexible requirements
- Analytical/problem-solving, consultative and inter-personal skills
