Linux and HPC Application/Infrastructure Specialist (m/f)

IHRE AUFGABEN:

-Assist on the delivery of the technical operations linux application environment and new HPC infrastructure and evolution of the current environments
-Ensure installation, configuration and operation of the environments to achieve the performance and agility of the various applications supported (in the range of several hundreds)
-Manage scientific application and data analysis tool, installation, configuration, maintenance and tuning
-Contribute to HPC/HTC workflow and job submission optimization activities
-Contributes to the concept, planning and execution of projects

IHRE QUALIFIKATIONEN:

-Profound experience with Linux/HPC environments
-Experience of Linux build and packaging tools (Make, CMake, Easybuild, RPM, Yum)
-Experience with Parallel Filesystem (e.g. Lustre, GPFS) and Scale-out NAS (e.g. Isilon)
-Experience in configuration management (e.g. Bright, xcat, puppet), automated build/release test & deployment (e.g. jenkins, git)
-Experience in workload management (e.g. SLURM, Torque, LSF)
-Experience in scripting, e.g. shell, python, perl
-Knowledge Big Data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Mapreduce, Spark)
-Programming skills in high level languages such as Java or C++ are a plus
-Virtualization and containerisation awareness
-Desirable understanding of Computer Systems Validation and ITIL concepts
