Linux Administrator - x2 Positions - Linux, Unix, SAN, LDAP, AD, LAN/W

A Federal Government Department currently has a requirement for two Linux Administrators to join their team ASAP. Interviews will be taking place immediately, so APPLY NOW!

The successful candidates will be responsible for working on an in-sourcing transition project, where your duties will include:

- Providing support for operating systems and application Middleware.
- Establishing the internal capability require to deliver the services.
- Transition of services to new support teams.
- Planning and implementation of Service Continuity processes.
- Manage redundancy and failover systems.
- Tune and monitor operating system performance and assist with application tuning.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the network and systems.
- Support production systems, analyse problems, and configure systems within the distributed computing environment.
- Provide technical guidance and training to other staff, including the transfer of skills within the team.

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

- Experience managing Enterprise Linux systems.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Storage/SAN.
- Experience automating OS builds.
- Experience with integrating OS authentication against LDAP and Active Directory.
- Knowledge of network protocols, WAN/LAN, Security.
- Knowledge of Intel hardware platforms, VMware virtual platforms.
- It would also be desirable for the successful candidates to have Shell/Perl Scripting skills and/or open source software such as Apache Tomcat.
