LINUX ADMINISTRATOR - (SAN STORAGE)
LOCATION: Zurich, Switzerland
DURATION: 3 months + Possible Extension
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Looking for strong expertize on Linux Administrator with Storage experience
- Good experience in Storage Area Network (SAN), NAS.
- SAN Experience of understanding SAN Switches.
- Good hands on experience of Logical Units (LUN).
- UNIX/Linux systems administration including considerable experience at command line level.
- Back up administration, NAS environments and SAN features such as switch fabric zoning.
- Perform remote software installations; patch software/OS; troubleshoot connectivity problems.
- Provide updates and enhances to the company's Linux Desktop program.
- Create and enhance internal OS deployment tools and processes
- Create packages and patches for distribution to internal Servers and desktops.
- Scripting with Perl and Shell
- Should be familiar with Vendor specific redundant & business continuity technologies such as Business Copy (BC), Continuous access (CA), Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), SRDF etc.
- Should have experience in installing & configuring Backups, Backup agents using tape libraries Knowledge.
- Good understanding on managing zones, Fiber Channel (FC) technologies.
- Working knowledge of Backup technologies such as IBM TSM, HP Data Protector, Veritas Netbackup etc.
