Linux Administrator Job

LINUX ADMINISTRATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Mateo, CA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Linux (Redhat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc)
- Scripting Language (Bash, PERL, Batch, Shell)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Management of Scripting and performance metrics
- Applying operating/system updates, patches, and configuration changes
- Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment in an cloud based infrastructure.
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Three (3) plus years of experience
- Experience working with Linux
- Experience developing scripts

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Apache or Tomcat
- Amazon Web Services (AWS: EC2, S3, RDS)
- Knowledge/Experience managing SAN/NAS technologies
- Experience with network and performance monitoring tools (Zenoss, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
