Linux Administrator Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a LINUX ADMINISTRATOR in Reston, VA. This position is a 4 week assignment with our client, SAP America.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist with Server Remediation activities.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Configure/add new services as necessary.
- Assist or undertake work associated with change of IP addresses and DNS configuration effort at designated sites.
- Assist or undertake work associated with change of Fully Qualified Domain Name Changes (FQDN) to SAP corporate domain.
- Install new/rebuild existing Servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks, including virtualized environments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Three to five (3 - 5) years being proficient in the provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hard.
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of system administration experience with of Windows and Linux or UNIX operating systems.
- Comprehensive experience working with server hardware in a dynamic environment.
