LIMS Developer - Java - Laboratory Information Systems Job

LIMS DEVELOPER - JAVA - needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's Client located in St Louis, Missouri.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Minimum of 2 years experience in developing in any of the following languages: Java, C#, C++, VB/VBA language, Small talk (LabWare LIMS), LIMS Basic (LabWare LIMS)
- Minimum of 2 years successful application development experience using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities
- Experience in the use of databases and data analysis leveraging SQL (SQL Server, Oracle)
- Business process knowledge of Quality Management, Lab Operations, Lab Information Management Systems.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Develop business requirement documentation for minor system enhancements.
- Participate in scope definition, timeline development, and test meeting sessions
- Review requirements with business stakeholders/developers/testers to ensure consistent expectations.
- Partner with IT resources (Developer, DBA, Tech Lead, Tester, Release Coordinator) as well as develop code to complete minor enhancement deliverables
- Provide Level 3 end to end support for bugs, defects, break/fix issues for global quality labs across application portfolio, hardware, and for interfaces with other systems (eg SAP)
- Problem management analysis
- Drive efforts to proactively identify application or system issues improving availability and performance
- Ensure application Service Level Agreements are exceeded by maintaining ownership of incidents through resolution.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in developing in any of the following languages: Java, C#, C++, VB/VBA language, Small talk (LabWare LIMS), LIMS Basic (LabWare LIMS)
- Minimum of 2 years successful application development experience using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities
- Experience in the use of databases and data analysis leveraging SQL (SQL Server, Oracle)
- Business process knowledge of Quality Management, Lab Operations, Lab Information Management Systems.
- Application Support experience in resolving software issues.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in documentation of business requirements and processes
- Organized, independent, self-motivated, and detail oriented
- Ability to build and leverage business and technical networks and relationships at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge Management creation
- Problem Management analysis
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

- Experience with Crystal Report development and use and other reporting tools such as Business Objects
- Familiarity with BMC Remedy IT Service Management tool
- Broad-based technology knowledge, with a curiosity that leads to continuous learning, and the ability to quickly grasp new ideas, concepts, and technologies
- Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) frameworks
