Life and Non Life Actuaries Needed

My Client a leading Consultancy is hiring for both Life and Non Life Actuaries.

The primary requirement is for a very strong subject matter expert in Life/Non Life insurance. In addition this position involves significant management responsibilities (developing people and supporting the Partners and Directors), thought leadership and project management.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting developments in Life or Non Life Insurance Teams. The individual could have skills in any of the following areas: Financial Reporting, Solvency 2 Reporting, Reserving, Modelling and Finance Transformation. We would expect the individual to contribute in their specialist area to the development of new products and services.

A willingness to undertake travel may be required.

Qualifications and Skills:

A qualified actuary with an in-depth knowledge of the Life or Non Life Insurance market.
Experience and Background
Experience gained within either a consultancy, regulatory or company environment are equally advantageous.
Knowledge of UK regulatory regime for Life/Non-Life insurers.
Knowledge of UK reporting methodologies, eg UK GAAP, IFRS, PRA Returns, ICA.
Modelling skills (eg Igloo, ReMetrica, VBA, Prophet and Moses) is an advantage.
Flexibility and an enjoyment of working on challenging projects, and interacting with teams from other business groups.
Strong technical and communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to deal with clients and senior personnel from day one.
