AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Lending Operations Analyst to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

The Lending Operations team is a new team to Manchester (transitioned from London in Q1 2011). The overall function of the department is to administer the Corporate Banking Division (CBD) Lending portfolios including both Syndicated and Bilateral lending facilities.

The role will be part of a task force to investigate and clear historical breaks across a no. of different functions of the BAU teams with a particular focus on helping the team to develop current reports and reconciliations to streamline the operation and help influence inclusion of new reports and reconciliations into the BAU teams. This will also include identifying and clearing breaks, managing workflow and ensuring all deadlines are met, developing strong working relationships with all stakeholders and responding efficiently to all queries from internal and external stakeholders whilst maintaining and improving housekeeping practices.

Key activities include:

* Process and approve the day to day functions of the department including deal administration, loan drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, fees and interest for both bi-lateral and syndicated facilities.

* Ensure loan portfolio is funded correctly by the Treasury department

* Monitor various systems to identify exceptional cases and perform investigation

* Manage production workflow & ensuring deadlines for processing transactions are adhered as per the service level agreements

* Respond quickly and efficiently to Front Office and Client queries and solving their problems in a professional, timely and efficient manner.

* Develop positive working relationships with the various internal clients (eg Middle Office, Front Office, Customer Service groups etc)

* Involvement with project initiatives to improve process & procedure documentation

* Ensure and maintain good housekeeping practices Deliverables:

Essential Requirements:

* Investment banking or investigations experience

* SQL (Trans-SQL)

* Macros (Writing queries and viewing reports, VBA: Visual Basic for Application, used for interface development, Excel macro reporting and Self Service and Javascript and HTML)

* Experience using web-based applications using Microsoft Technology eg IIS, VBScript and ASP
