Legal Enforcement & Litigations Officer

Our client requires a Senior Advocate in their Enforcement and Litigation Team.

The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer, have at least 8 years PQE experience, must hold a current Practising Certificate, have experience in licensing and ideally a Higher Rights of Audience qualification.

The small but busy team work in a high profile area. The successful candidate must have proven experience in the usual range of enforcement matters and non-routine criminal proceedings that arise in the public sector. You will take over an existing caseload and be able to supervise a team, allocating and prioritising the day to day activities, ensuring sensitive matters are dealt with in confidence and appropriately. Other duties to include: conduct of magistrate's court cases, provide telephone and written advice to clients on general enforcement issues, support casework in Legal Services where there is multi-disciplinary working and advocacy experience in order to undertake prosecutions and other appropriate actions.

The successful candidate will be required from time to time to attending evening Licencing Sub-committees and act as a legal adviser to the committee so a flexible attitude to working hours will be required.
