Legal Counsel - 4 years PQE - Commercial/IT

This major mobile operator is recruiting for an experienced Legal Counsel to join their Commercial and IT Team on a contract basis.

This position will report into the Senior Legal Counsel and is likely to be varied and often innovative. Projects will include supporting major joint venture arrangements, high value technology and outsourcing projects and managing wholesale business partners. Commercial and technology projects may include in-sourcing and out-sourcing of business functions, procurement arrangements and providing on going support for key partnership arrangements involving governance and disputes. Support of the procurement and contracts team will also be included.

Responsibilities:
Taking responsibility for delivering legal projects and ensuring that risk and rewards are appropriately balanced. Provide high quality legal advice across a range of technology and commercial matters.
Contribute to the successful management of on going strategic legal relationships.
Assist in identifying and managing legal and commercial risk within the business by improving processes.

Essential skills required:
UK qualified Lawyer or Legal Counsel
Ideally 4-5 years PQE
Experience with Commercial, IT and or technology Law
Confident in navigating large transactional documentation
Ability to clearly explain legal and commercial issues.
Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
Experience with large scale in-sourcing or out-sourcing.
In-House experience.
