LEGAL COUNSEL

CONTRACT - 4MONTHS

SURREY

A WORLD-LEADING PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY are looking for a talented LEGAL COUNSEL/LEGAL COUNSEL to join their team. The successful individual will provide a first class legal service to all sites in the UK within a commercial and business context and to act as deputy to the Legal Director in his/her absence.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- UK qualified lawyer (solicitor or barrister)
- Excellent quality client interaction in-house or private practice UK pharma law or experience of working on Digital or web based Projects (any industry)
- Commercial in-house experience Background within competition law

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing clear, consistent and timely advice on legal matters arising in the UK business.

This includes:

- Medico-legal advice;
- Competition law advice;
- General commercial legal advice;
- Managing product liability matters;
- Managing disputes, claims and litigation;
- Advising on Company Secretarial matters; and
- Managing external legal counsel
- Drafting legal agreements and other legal documentation
- supporting the business in ensuring compliance
- Securing partnership relationships with internal stakeholders,
- understanding and being responsive to stakeholder requirements
- Managing the Legal team members including efficient delegation of tasks
- Managing the Legal Department's budget
