Legal Counsel - Commercialand
- Support the ongoing review and improvement of business risk management.
- The role reports into a Senior Legal Counsel and requires frequent interaction with stakeholders across

the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Take responsibility for delivering legal projects and ensuring that risk and reward are appropriately

balanced;
- Provide high quality legal advice across a wide range of technology and commercial matters (ie all

non-customer and non-regulatory matters);
- Contribute to the successful management of ongoing strategic legal relationships;
- Assist in identifying and managing legal and commercial risk in the business by improving processes on an ongoing basis and training business stakeholder;
- Promote the ongoing success of the Commercial and IT team and to promote its profile both internally and externally.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Lawyer qualified in the UK or similar jurisdiction
- Min 4 years PQE
- Legal experience in technology and commercial contracting (or transferable legal field)
- Confidence in navigating large transactional documentation
- Ability to manage a number of matters with minimal supervision
- Ability to clearly explain legal and commercial issues
- Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders

Preferred (additional) requirements

- Trained and ongoing experience from a top tier law firm in the UK or similar jurisdiction
- Experience in large scale outsourcing
- Some experience in corporate arrangements
- Some experience in managing disputes
- Some experience in property matters
- Some in-house experience
