Legal Contracts Co-Ordinator/Negotiator/Analyst

10 month fixed term contract for a Lead Contracts Analyst/Negotiator, Systems Military Contracts UK Operations to cover Maternity Leave.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible as the focal point for all contracting issues for assigned contracts/proposals which may also include contracts at other sites.
* Responsible for the review/coordination of all assigned proposals and contracts.
* Direct report to the Systems Military Contracts UK Operations Team Leader, GE Aviation Systems.
* Closely coordinates with the Counsels of the Systems businesses on specific contracting matters.
* Demonstrates understanding of functional, business, and broad company objectives.
* Effectively interfaces with all functions of the business including Manufacturing, Program Management, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, and Legal.
* Provides contract advice and support to other functional areas and employees.
* Provides alternative solutions to meet client requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Sound knowledge of contract formation, practises and regulations.
* Degree in an applicable discipline or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
* Practical involvement in the preparation and negotiation of military and international contracts
