LEGAL ADVISOR/SOLICITOR

My client is a Glboal Bank seeking a Legal Advisor/Solicitor to join their team on a 12 month contract with possible extensions thereafter. You will ideally have excellent senior stakeholder management experience and be effective working in a lively team and also independently with minimal supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- To support the Head of Team to deliver the legal strategy, working with stakeholders and legal colleagues to ensure the timely, effective and efficient delivery of all issues, projects and initiatives.
- To work with the CIB businesses to provide expert and timely legal advice on derivatives issues and regulatory changes impacting CIB's derivatives businesses.
- To manage external advisers and other stakeholders in successfully delivering CIB transactions and projects on a timely basis
- To deliver expert, accurate and cost effective legal advice to CIB ensuring it is readily understandable to non-lawyers
- To provide advice and support on business/product development and innovation

KEY SKILLS

- Experience working with derivatives and structured products and/or transactions essential
- Legal background - strong technical experience (CIB) from private practice
- Banking sector & Finance services industry experience
- Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience of providing legal and commercial advice in relations to transactions and projects in-house or in a leading UK law firm
- Experience of working with leading law firms and other professional advisers/consultants
- Knowledge of the legal issues associated with Corporate and Investment Banking
