Legacy Systems Specialist (PSCM - P2P) Sunbury - £440 per day

My client, an energy trading company based in Sunbury, has an urgent requirement for a Legacy Systems Specialist A key priority for the Process and Systems team is to promote standardization of PSCM systems across functions and regions.

The Legacy Systems is comprised by a regionally dispersed team of Specialists that support non-standard PSCM systems and execute a plan/road map to rationalize the use of regional applications and transition to standard solutions.

The Legacy Systems Specialist is responsible for understanding, monitoring and supporting the successful running of various Procure to Pay (P2P) and/or Material Management and Warehousing systems, processes and applications across various regions. This also includes overseeing the resolution of queries relating to the successful running of the systems and processes via the appropriate parties. The Legacy Systems Specialist will also provide guidance to users on compliance and best practice in their designated area.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The PSCM Legacy Systems Specialist works across operating functions and geographical regions and is accountable for the following:

- Support specific PSCM applications and provide guidance on their use, maintenance, upgrade, etc.
- Assure the health of the Legacy Systems within area of assignment. Identify and agree gap closure plans where required
- Development and execution of an effective operation plan for Legacy systems though standardization, simplification, discontinuance and other methods
- Embed a systematic way of working the Legacy systems and applications supporting PSCM teams. Use consistency, reliability and compliance as guiding principles.
- Ensure Legacy systems are used in alignment with IT exception use of non-standard systems; decommission/retirement of Legacy systems.
- Support the operating model to enhance integration of PSCM functions: P2P, Materials Management, Category Management, Procurement Services, GOO, GPO and GWO.
- Support the PSCM function to be a high performing organization with a standard way of working; viewed as strategic and value adding, that attracts and retains high quality people
- Comply with BP Code of Conduct; provide D embed processes that achieve Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) goals and improve contractor safety

REQUIREMENTS

- University degree in Business, Engineering, SCM or equivalent technical/business discipline
- Working knowledge of PSCM standard systems such as SAP, SRM, Ariba OneSource, Business Objects, Procon
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Working knowledge and experience with P2P or Materials Management processes, systems and applications
- Working knowledge of PSCM non-standard and Legacy Systems is a plus
- Demonstrate excellent communication and documentation skills
- Skilled at leading through complexity, executing projects in multi-stakeholder, multi-discipline, multi-cultural environments, with regional and country-specific issues and challenges
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with individuals across multiple disciplines, cultures and geographies, across organizational boundaries and levels within BP and with suppliers
- Proven track record of process improvement
- Excellence in data management and modelling including Microsoft Access and Excel
- Experience of Business Objects 12.1.0 advantageous

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

- Experience working in business process/business process engineering, process development and change management
- Demonstrated skills required to quickly build networks across a broad stakeholder base
- Professional PSCM qualification, MBA or equivalent
- Business knowledge or work experience in multiple countries
- The ability to work independently and with limited supervision
- The ability to assimilate information quickly and form a view as to the correct course of action
- A high level of analytical capability and be able to draw conclusions using sometimes ambiguous/incomplete data
- A strong performance bias with the ability to drive change and influence others
- The ability to prioritize in a busy environment with conflicting priorities
